I keep getting messages like the following. I go to Billing, but I am unable to change Credit Card.
Are these messages really from Hotmail?

Dear Gail Simon,

We have been unable to charge your credit card for your Windows Live Hotmail Plus service(s) being billed to you through Microsoft Online Services. The following credit card is the current payment method on your billing account:

Credit card type: VISA

If your services have not already been suspended, they will be suspended within 4 days unless we receive updated billing information. If payment is due for other Microsoft services purchased with the above card, those services may also be suspended. To avoid an interruption of your services or to reactivate suspended service(s), please provide a valid credit card and a current expiration date.

To view or change your billing account, go to https://billing.microsoft.com, and select one of the following options:
To update payment information, click on the payment method's link under 'Payment type', on the next page click 'Go to payment method information', and on the next page click 'Edit payment method information'.
To view a billing statement for a payment method, click the payment method's link under 'Payment type'.

If you have already resolved this issue, please disregard this notice and accept our thanks.

Thank you for using Microsoft Online Services.

I also had a problem accessing http//billing.microsoft. Kept getting a page tha said it was "temporarily unavailable" I received this fix from Hotmail Plus Customer Support. It worked for me:

The issue related to the site unavailable error that you received when you tried to view your credit card information on Billing and Account Management website can be caused by the temporary internet files on your browser. Once these cookies are already full, they can sometimes prevent your browser from opening secured websites. Thus, you received this error when you tried to access the website.

For you to be able to sign in to the website to be able to view your billing account, I provided steps for you to clear the internet cache files and cookies on your computer as this may be the cause why you cannot access the billing website.

On Internet Explorer:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click on Tools.
3. From the Tools menu select the option labeled Internet Options.
4. Under the General tab locate the section labeled Browsing History and select the Delete option.
5. Select the Delete Files option next to Temporary Internet Files and the Delete Cookies next to Cookies. ONLY delete the temporary internet files and cookies, and DO NOT delete any additional settings. (NOTE: I found I also had to deselect the "Preserve Favorites Website Data" box.)
6. Select Close.

If you are using Mozilla Firefox:
1. Using Mozilla, open an internet explorer window.
2. Choose the menu option labeled Tools.
3. Select the option labeled Internet Options.
4. Locate the section labeled Private Data and select the Settings option.
5. This will bring up a window labeled Clear Private Data and from there, check all of the checkbox options listed EXCEPT for Saved Password.
6. Select OK.

Once you have cleared the temporary internet files, please try to sign in to the Billing and Account Management website again. Please visit http://billing.microsoft.com, and then sign in with your ***@hotmail.com email address.
