I have received an email from microsoft promotion from the U.K. stating that I won the lucky dip sweepstakes and they need my full name, medium of id, phone number, & mailing address to send me my cashier's check. Is this legid? Microsoft just pick email address for sweepstakes on random? If you need to see a copy of the email, I could send it for your review

Not legit. I get these as well as other "lotto" wins from the U.K all the time. I just delete them.

Just another con game. I've gotten them over the months, so I just hit the spam button and they get fewer and fewer. Either do what I do or just delete them.
