Password forgotten / Reset

Hi

One of my friends has forgotten his password to his hotmail ID and now unable to log in

He is neither able to get through to the 'secret question' page nor able to get reset instruction

In the new Windows Live module, while clicking on 'Forgot Password' option, one is directed to 'reset options' page. And surprisingly, the email ID asked for while resetting is the same hotmail ID. How can a person access the ID whose password he/ she has forgotten? Isn't this a bug? And what if user has not defined an alternate email ID or forgotten the alternate email ID or the alternate email ID has been closed. This is because the ID was created long back

Please help as some important person's contact info is stored in his hotmail account which will help him in his career

Your friend will need to open a support case with Windows Live Hotmail support
at http://support.live.com to request a password reset. Your friend will need to
answer a rather lengthy form with as much information as possible to prove
ownership of the account.
